In high school, I started to pay attention to this talented musician accidentally because of a music variety show. Preferring the music of European and American pop, it’s weird that I gained adoration with this Chinese elegant and poetic singer and songwriter, Li Jian. I suppose the unrealistic poetic brilliance and delicacy in my character are to some extent due to him and his songs, and it it’s his songs that accompany me with those trivial and ordinary days and nights.
Li Jian, graduated from the department of electronic engineering of Tsinghua University in China, was once a member of the music group "Shuimu Nianhua". As he hated the commercialization of music, he quit the group and became a personal creative singer afterwards. He has received public attention since he appeared on the Chinese Spring Festival Gala in 2010. After participating in the Chinese music variety show "I'm a Singer" Season 3 in 2015, he won even higher popularity among musical fans.
If we say that the development of the world is whipping you forward, Li Jian's song is to let you slow down and feel a twig and a leaf, a twinkle and a smile, a person and a feeling in the daily life. He refused to be commercial and kept the purity of his music for more than ten years; he refused to socialize, yet condensed the highest feeling of life and the poetic mind because of this concentration.
