798 Art District: Industry, Art and Beauty

In November 2020, the Covid in China has slightly calmed down. I went to visit Beijing's new landmark, 798 Art District. It can be said that this day has given the impact of beating the soul from the audio, visual, tactile and sensual aspects. From the outside to the interior, it has brought me with a day of artistic life.

Beijing 798 Art District is located in Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is located in the 718 courtyard of Group Seven Star. It used to be the old factory of electronic industry such as state-owned 798 factory. The core area covers an area of nearly 300000 square meters. There are many cultural and art institutions such as galleries, design rooms, art exhibition spaces, artists' studios, fashion shops, restaurants and bars.

There are industrial buildings with iron sheet appearance, art galleries with red brick design, dream houses with fresh color painting, houses with stained glass exterior wall design, which shines with blue sky and the brilliant natural light.

In addition to the architectural style, it can not be ignored that 798 Art District has the power to gather artists and cultural workers. The 300 000 square meter park is divided into six districts. By the end of 2012, there were more than 500 galleries, artists' individual studios, animation, film and television media, publishing, design consulting and other cultural institutions in Beijing 798 Art District, including many overseas institutions from more than 25 countries and regions, Such as France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, etc. It has become an exhibition center of Chinese contemporary art and an influential cultural and creative industry cluster at home and abroad. The galleries, art galleries and studios in the park display works from the nation to the world, from ancient times to modern times, from simplicity to complexity, from painting to sculpture. In addition to the works of art itself, the clothing, furniture and stationery sold in the art zone have unique artistic design charm. Life and art really blend here.
